La Maison Rose is a detached stone house in Lyvet, on the River Rance, just 10 minutes from Dinan. With the river a one-minute walk away and three restaurants at the port, it’s an easy place to base yourself in this part of Brittany for exploring this beautiful region.

Sleeping up to 6 people, La Maison Rose offers two king-size rooms, one of them en-suite, and both offering views towards the river and a twin at the back looking onto the garden. Ideal for a families, couples or friends.

The main living space downstairs is open-plan, with the kitchen, dining and sitting area all together. Large windows bring in plenty of natural light throughout the day. The main bathroom is upstairs, with a separate WC on the ground floor and a utility room below with washing facilities.

The private, fully enclosed garden sits just off the kitchen and offers plenty of space for outdoor dining or relaxing. It’s equipped with a gas BBQ, dining table and chairs and loungers, with a patio heater for cooler evenings.

At the front of the house, the west-facing balcony looks out over the River Rance, ideal for the evening, particularly at sunset. There is private parking for one vehicle on the drive and a small garage suitable for motorbikes or if you need additional storage space. Four adult bicycles and helmets are available for guest use, with direct access to the River Rance towpath nearby.

Lyvet is a small riverside village on the Rance, centred around the port and the lock at Le Châtelier. The river is about a one-minute walk from the house, and there are three restaurants down at the port, which makes things easy in the evening. Dinan is just 10 minutes away for shops, markets and a wider choice of restaurants, and the north Brittany coast is within easy reach for day trips.
